About

Willemijn Slijboom (Bmus Honours)  is a violin graduate from Birmingham Conservatoire where she studied with Nathaniel Vallois and received chamber coaching from David Angel & John Todd. After graduation Willemijn has continued her professional development with Lorainne McAslan. Alongside violin, she has taken courses in Kodaly and Colourstrings and currently teaches violin at Gresham's. Willemijn felt that in the area good quality, well structured music lessons and instrumental lessons for pre-schoolers and children from 5, 6 and 7 years were missing and as an answer opened the Eysnsford Academy of Music.

Founders Notes

We believe in allowing children to be children. Music can be an immense pleasure and lifelong friend as long as it is introduced in a welcoming and friendly environment. The most important thing is that children experience music and are free to explore. Every child and adult has music in them, but it takes a good teacher to unlock their potential.
